In this case, the wife has history of indesscriminate credit card purchases. The husband closed all credit card accounts. The wife opened an account in her name only without the husband's knowlege or consent. The creditor is going after the husband since he is only one employed. :

Maryland is not a community property state. Unless the husband signed the credit agreement, I don't see how a creditor can pursue the husband for payment.

What do you mean by "going after the husband"? Threatening to sue him or ganish his wages when they talk to him on the telephone?
