What is the name of your state?missouri
i have heard that even though i state in my will I wish to be cremated that my family legally doesnt have to do so. I wish to be but my mother wont allow it, if this is true is there anything I can do to make sure I am cremated, would my husband have say over her? Thank you

Your husband will have the upper hand. However, it would be better, even without assets, to have a will and name your husband as the executor. It might be worth a few hundred now to sit down with an attorney so that you can rest easy.

Also, have your wishes for cremation put in a Living Will/Health Care Directives along with a nomination for a conservator should you become incapaciated.
