Whether it is "okay" to drink while bartending is a moot point. It is NOT okay, under any definition, to drink to the point of intoxication while working.

I am astounded that you are unable to see the difference here.

ah, but not against any NYS law.

the law says you cannot toss migits around, so i think it would be pretty clear if it was prohibited to get intoxicated while working. which it dosent.

plus who cares, i do not think it is ok to get totally trashed ever, but drinking and geting drunk is in fact compleately legal, as long as you are not driving. (not as long as you are not driving or working)

there is no more problem. the tape shows she did not steal any money, apparently everyone was drinking a bit, so she is going to get paid. which was the inital question. problem solved.

Again, sorry for starting the thread before knowing the facts situation and while alittle emotional about the story I got.

thank you again for your helpful feed back.

It doesn't have to be against the law to be "not okay". Again, I am astounded that someone who's been on this board as long as you have does not seem to comprehend that.

Ok, well I have agree'd with you repeatedly that its not ok. She was warned not to drink, obviously she cannot control herself, and needs some sort of 12 step program.. but that is neither here nor there.

she is not going to be bartending anymore, not there or anywhere else, its just not for her. Some people can handle that kind of enviroment, others cannot. she is among those that cant.
