What is the name of your state? AL
I am the custodial parent for a 6 and 7 year old.
I have a current order for CS, but I have not received anything. I have another child who will be born in November. At present my wife picks up my children from school, but I will have to put them in afterschool care this August which is going to cost me about $250-300/mo. plus having to pay for childcare for my other baby.

Here are my questions, I have a scheduled appt. with Human resources about child support enforcement in August, can they make adjustments to child support?
Also my ex is no longer working and she is on disability can CS be modified, in either direction, based on this fact? The current order for CS is $130 mo. based on her income of $950/ mo. What I need from her is money to pay for afterschool care. Is this even a possiblity for me?
And lastly, her order for child support came 8 months after I was awarded custody of the children, what can I do about CS for those 8 months?

When my ex didn't pay child support for the first year and a half of my daughter's life. . when I went to court they ruled that for the next 1 1/2 he had to make double payment. . which for him was still nothing since he only pays $207/mo now. Based on her income, I don't know if that would be a viable option in your case, but maybe even ask if she tack on an additional $25/ month until that 8 months is paid for. I guess it just depends on what she can show she can or cannot do.

My x hides his income so it is hard for me to even try to get more support. But I don't think an addition $25/ a month would hurt her too badly.

Just a suggestion.
