What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I wanted to get a second opinion. I am a healthcare worker and was hired by a practice that I felt was conducting illegal activity. I notified them, resigned and wanted my pay.
They did not want to. I filed a lawsuit and eventually the case was arbitrated by JAMS. They ordered my employer to make the payment last week.
However, they then sent me a "writ of summons" for "intentional slander", not only for me, but my wife also which is laughable. My lawyer thinks that these are delaying tactics to get leverage on me.
I cannot recall a single incident where I intentionally slandered these people.

1) Can they be punished for this?
2) What does this 'writ of summons' means? Do I have to appear in court?

My lawyer is away on vacation from country and I am stressing.

Your help will be appreciated.

Writ of summons is the notice that they are starting a new lawsuit against you. It should have ZERO bearing on prior judgements. They should pay up.

Thanks.
So this is what happened.

The arbitration was completed June 2016 and the decision was made by the judge at JAMS to pay us.
They delayed and meandered saying that I kept some confidential documents that belonged to them (I did not - they have all the documents).
My lawyer had to go to the local county court and enforce the settlement, which ofcourse was enforced. The meeting was Jan 17.
Jan 20, I get a writ of summons for intentional slander.

They are the ones who wanted the arbitration to begin with, since we had filed the complaint at Supreme Court of PA for far more than what we settled on.

My question is, what is needed to prove "intentional slander"?

And this new lawsuit that they have cooked up - both parties signed anti disparagement agreement. The timing seems fishy...

What did your current lawyer say?

he first said that they may get sanctions for doing this as arbitration already occured.

but when i pressed him on it, he stayed quiet.

maybe he just wants to finish the existing lawsuit and not have to deal with this second lawsuit that they have started?

my question is, what do i do?
