I am going to do that. But it's not like i can come up with a couple hundred dollars that's not dedicated to any other bills on a whim. if you haven't noticed the economy lately people like me plan my bills ahead of time. We have no money at the moment for suprise expenses. I was adding my reg fee into my familys May budget. Not april.
This whole thing could have been prevented by paying $6

i still don't see where i should have to go out of my way because some dead beat stole my sticker. My mom does have a car she never drives. I could snag hers until may.

Life's not fair.
Don't put your mom's tag on your car - you'd be opening a much larger can of worms at that point!

Well it's nice to know that some jackass is out driving their crap mobile with MY sticker on it...and probably getting away with it. And if I do it I'll probably get into trouble. Yet I've paid my registration ALL along. I love our system.

NO life isn't fair. And it's because of crap like this. I try to make sure my life is as fair as possible. And when it comes to letting go of money for someone elses doing..I get really cranky. Even over just 6 bucks.

I should have known though if the state can't get money one way they will find another way to get it. I'm hoping the county attorney decides to throw the seat belt ticket out for my husband. it'll be us 2 uncle sam 0. If not...It'll be just one more thing I call my state rep about. She lives 5 miles from me so she's not hard to get in touch with. Actually a friend just called me and informed me SHE was cited with not wearing a seat belt by the same officer. And she says she had it on. Plus her windows are tinted the darkest tint that can be bought. Yet he claims he saw her pass with it off. So i'm hoping the county attorney takes note of her case as well.

i think people are forgetting the ticket was for not wearing a seat belt. so can we get back to that? how often does someone take the word of a motorist over that of an officer in a case like this? And don't say he has to prove he was wearing one because in the same respect the cop has to prove he wasn't. so how does that work out?

As I said earlier - just prove he WAS wearing his belt.
In fact, I bet if he can prove that the officer couldn't have seen him driving without his belt, your husband might get out of it too.
