So, you think you did everything to make this man be a father to his child? You never went to court.

I wouldn't even want him to be a dad, at this point. All he does is party and get stoned.

and I'm working on taking him to court. I'm asking you guys for help with that. No one has answered my question yet.

Does anyone officially know the length of time for an abandonment case in illinois? Or in Tennessee? I know in Iowa it's only 6 months.

Yeah, well, we're not all perfect like you are, apparently.

Clearly not. ;)

What you are EXPECTED to do, is RESEARCH on this site for your question.

Your boring old q has been asked/answered about a zillion times. Your boring old story has been told at least that many.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Don't be lazy. Be proactive. Asking US to do the work FOR you is not proactive.

I wouldn't have signed up for this site if I hadn't already researched other parts of the internet.

I searched to find out about the Tennessee laws on abandonment and found nothing. So don't act like it's all right under my nose. Perhaps your search engine is broken.

And I don't exactly have HOURS to sit here and wade through all of these threads, considering I have a house and family to take care of.

Well, thanks to those that actually tried to help me. I guess I'll just try another route from here on out.

Yes, of course.
It's the search engine's fault.

Because it's not too important.
