JJ and JB - are the two of you done hijacking wiley's thread? Grow up, already.

Stealth, you shut your mouth when youre talking to me!!! Hahha you too OG. :D

I apologize to Wiley and everyone else. I was called out and had to respond. Completely immature.

ETA: Wiley, I just wanted to clarify. I didnt take ex to court over the delivery of checks. We were going for modification anyway and the point came up. Judge did order me to provide ex with self addressed stamped envelopes (lame) which I did but dad never used. I consequently gave up on the arguement. The harm had already been done.

Well, since this thread has already gone completely sideways, I'll take the opportunity to quote from the best TV show ever, in the entire history of human civilization,--just to make you smile.

Jed Bartlet: Can I tell you what's messed up about James Bond?
Charlie Young: Nothing.
Jed Bartlet: Shaken, not stirred, will get you cold water with a dash of gin and dry vermouth. The reason you stir it with a special spoon is so not to chip the ice. James is ordering a weak-assed m a r t i n i and being snooty about it.

Don't let the b@stards get you down. (I used to say it in Latin, but I've forgotten how. Dangit.)

*off to re-learn that one, at least!*

Goldwater used the phrase "Illegitimi non carborundum" -- but a true Latin scholar would cringe.

OK, my Latin teacher would have chuckled rather than cringed. He was fond of exhorting us to "Semper ubi sub ubi". Also not correct Latin, but wise nevertheless. ;)

Actually,

It's my husband who is 'married to a Marine".

I'm married to a retired Special Forces Green Beret Sergeant Major.

who wishes he had joined the Marines. :D

Ooooh, OK! :)
And, you closed your other thread, but I was sad for you, too, because it is clear you realize what you did and it's hit you hard. Along with learning to forgive Mom for the things she's done, please also learn to forgive yourself. You seem to have had good intentions and a good heart and sometimes we just step in it. We have a loving God that knew we would, we weren't sent here to fail, so when you're done tormenting yourself, you know where to go to be healed. :)

yeah...

my concern is that it would get ugly.

i can't believe i did something so stupid myself and i do struggle with the forgiveness thing, and your are correct as well, it's been hard to reconcile w/myself that i did it.

i've been so careful, the kids were actually starting to blossom and in one fell swoop it went bad.

i mean, really, really bad.

and the kids are getting all the wrong messages.

thanks, tho. i appreciate the kind words.
