As stated, parenting time and child support would be handled separately from contesting the adoption. You are unlikely to get custody. Expect that any parenting time granted to you will be in gradual steps. You will not simply be allowed to take him on your own for a day or overnight. You are a stranger to the child. Period. It would not be in his best interests. <--- that is a term you should familiarise yourself with.

Yes, a knowledgeable lawyer MAY be able to stop an adoption, but may not. If the lawyer says they can definitely stop it? Find a different lawyer.

I know I'm on the birth certificate and my kid has my last name but the other posters said I haven't established rights but i don't know how supposed to do that if he already has my last name

Your protestations would seem more heartfelt if it wasn't for the fact that you've sat on your butt for all these years without lifting a finger in asserting and attempting to exercise your claimed parental rights and have provided nothing toward succoring the child. Well she never let me do anything for my son and now the judge will probably let me be there for my son anyway even if she don't want me to that's the difference

She never had to let you do anything since there wasn't a court order. What that means is that you've sat around whining and doing nothing instead of going to court to enforce your rights.

So like u all say I didn't do nothing to see my son even though I did ty messaging her but she didn't let me and I didn't kno I had to go to court to see my own son. So the judge will hold it against me that I didn't go to court before or still give me a chance to see him now by forcing the mom to be ok with it or what??

Best interest is that my son can have his real dad in his life cus his mom just did wrong in not letting me see him and even tho she found someone he is not his dad i am
