We do not have facts enough to provide advice. You tossing out links about alcohol and vehicles is the opposite of helpful. You are providing links to laws that have absolutely no relevance at all. Please stop.
That's your opinion.
I was thanked and you weren't.

In NYC, an open container in public violates the Open Container Law. It is that simple. Walking, biking, sitting on the grass in a park - an open container of alcohol is a violation. And no, a brown paper bag won't protect you.
Agreed.
§ 10-125 Consumption of alcohol on streets prohibited.

I do reserve the right about the statute and to be wrong and then to find the right statute and to correct myself.

For making a thread 55 posts long with your postings of irrelevant laws.

Nowhere has Help2025 said s/he consumed alcohol. S/he was not cited for consuming alcohol.
You have to read the statute, dear quincy!

§ 10-125 Consumption of alcohol on streets prohibited.

c. Possession of an open container containing an alcoholic beverage by any person shall create a rebuttable presumption that such person did intend to consume the contents thereof in violation of this section.

S/he was cited for open container. S/he said an officer found an opened container in a carryon. S/he mentioned water and juice.

Your comments are derogatory to me and Help2025. You've derailed this entire thread to seemingly bash me for giving advice that you don't like.

I am the only one who was thanked. You or someone who keeps liking your posts bashed Help2025 saying they don't know any better!

The majority can still be wrong. And you are. Read the statute.
Should you take care to read the statute, you may find that your comments are baseless and derogatory. You should be reported to moderator.

Something "contained half" as was mentioned in the comment where Help2025 thanked me and ONLY me thus far. :):giggle:

The water was empty and the juice had some. So, it wasn't water or juice.
