    Realtors treated as employees?

What is the name of your state? NJ Apparently there was a court ruling that introduced the idea that Real Estate Sales Reps are employees, not independent contractors. This was a suit involving Remaxx. Does anyone know when was this court ruling? Thanks.

    Month to month - eviction

What is the name of your state? New Jersey We have just been evicted and we were given 40 days to move out. It is an owner-occupied building w/ no more than two units, excluding the owner's unit. We have a month to month rental agreement. When the new owner took over the deed of the home we...

    4 car accident-not my fault-getting sued

No, your insurance will not go up because of that. It will only go up if they lose, your insurance company. You might get off easy but vehicle no. 4 is in a heap of trouble. If they have sufficient coverage though then all that person really has to worry about is their rates going up for three...

    mass insurance

Most probably some state's laws are different. In NJ if an insured was racing or under the influence they can't collect but we would pay the finance and the the other claimant if there was one involved. The insured wouldn't be able to collect on PIP, either.

Passengers in my car claiming false bodily injury

This sounds like it will be a battle of "he says, she said", very annoying. Just one piece of advice. Stick to your story and in no way try to twist it in more to your favor, just state the facts.

    crazy world

The truth is that anyone can sue for anything. That person can sue you for 21 million dollars for any ridiculous reason. That does not mean that suit will be finalized at that amount. Another thing is that if you have nothing, they can't get anything. :p The judge would say, ok, you lose...

    mass insurance

If she was not cited for it then there probably won't be any points charged against her license. What may happen is that your insurance rate may go up if your insurance company pays for the damages. Another thing is that your daught can not receive any payment. Since she was driving under the...

    liability for elderly

If the car is registered under your name, any lawsuit will go under you. Since you are the registered owner of the car you are held responsible for anything that happens with the car. So what that means is if she crashes, you get sued.

Passengers in my car claiming false bodily injury

Simple, tell them to prove it. Tell your insurance company of this and they will send out an investigation on this. Your insurance company doesn't want to pay either so they will do whatever it takes not to pay. :) These things are inevitable. But there is a catch 22. If on the police report...

    4 car accident-not my fault-getting sued

The thing with NJ is that every single lawsuit that gets presented winds up in court. NJ does not believe in frivalous lawsuit. In NJ it is not possible to sue for emotional distress unless she has "no limitation on lawsuit". If she does have "limiation on lawsuit" then she can only sue...

Regarding Father Driving My Uninsured Vehicle

If you want to know how bad it is, read the other posts on this board and you will see. If he thinks bankruptcy is bad, wait till he hits something. Driving a car is one of the most dangerous things you can do next to owning a gun; and not having any insurance on it is like having an...

Accident 16 months ago - injuries, 2 surgeries

You should ask your insurance agent like Lynx36 said. This site offers advice, we don't tell you how much you are going to receive from a settlement. Well add up your medical bills, lost wages, and actual cash value of your vehicle and that is how much you will receive. Now, you said six...
