Isn't the term for a mistake that will void a ticket called a fatal flaw. I think ive heard that somewhere. Maybe on here....but if I remeber it right a fatal flaw is a mistake that would prevent you from defending yourself against the charge. Such as seniorjudge said a missing statute number...
I was thinking the same thing that one was lost, but the way the town is setup there actually isn't any place for another one. You would almost have to see it to understand. But basically one contradicts another going the other way. The town speed limits I know are controlled and set by the...
What is the name of your state? Texas
I have a question. It doesn't relate to a ticket since I haven't received one for this. I just wanted to know if this is legal.
In Mauriceville, TX when you enter in to town from the north the speed limit steps down from 70 to 65 to 55 then down to 50...
Dave Letterman might like that top ten list...lol...good one...but i think in this case you prolly arent gonna get much with your argument...best bet would be to go early the day of the arraignment and speak with the DA or ADA and explain it all and basically be prepared to pay a fine but not...
Yes, I agree. I think this might be one of those cases where you will basically get convicted before you ever get to court and the judge will basically not care what you have to say. Thats what I have seen from my experience but I have never actually gotten a ticket for that high of a speed...
WARNING I will keep this as clean as possible so youll have to look into it to understand it so don't read it if your offended.
I could sue my ex.....for making me use my hand and arm too much now.
Whats bad....in Southwest Louisiana, you can get off with less for a DUI. I can't imagine if the two states I regularlly drive in took speeding that serious. I'd know what the inside of a prison was like for sure. And yes bad things always happen on the one time you try to do something...
I was unaware that the ticket for not having a license on you will get dismissed....I knew the insurance one will. You must live near me in Texas....power outtages everywhere....mine was off for almost 24 hours....It seems like if you go to court and explain the situation the ticket will be...
It definatly will never hurt to consult a lawyer and could hurt not too. So either way I think you should. I never have dealt with Virginia so I don't know the seriouness they will take it but I knwo 35 over is almost always very serious. I have had tickets for 85 but never in lower than a 70...
Looks like I'll be broke....what if the finger flying was involuntary....dang spasms in the arm....surely my lawyer can counter sue for me..lol...for causing spasms in my arm :D
I have had similiar charges reduced to seatbelt violation. I guess it depends on the DA or ADA's mood that morning....and that was in Louisiana....I don't know the extent it can be reduced in your state. Good Luck though.
I may be completely wrong on this and I hope someone will correct me if I am. Isn't it true that the person who is merging into another lane, as it seems in this case this driver was, never has the right of way? Which would mean this driver was initially in the wrong. Maybe the other driver...
I'm sure when you go to court to contest the officer would be kind enough to apologize for his error in keeping your card. If not the judge might for him, or either could really care less most likely....But you definatly broke the law here...and with no drivers license on you, did you get a...
There is way too many people who use this site for there own personal amusement
To You Are Guilty:
You didn't answer his first question either. You just wanted to put a smart response for what reason? You must be a judge or a cop. Or maybe just someone with too much time on his hands. If...
Being from Texas...and this is all speculation and my personal opinion none of which is necesarily true and fully correct since I am neither a cop nor a lawyer just your average guy who has been pulled over WAY too many times.....I have found that cops here, all over the state..I'm not sure why...
Not sounding like a good case here.
First off the judge is going to start off ticked off that you were doing 94 in a 65 and exceeding the speed limit by almost thirty miles an hour...Thats not just your basic speeding case....even if you are innocent he is gonna start off ticked off like I...
The day being Thursday isn't going to get it thrown out. Iv'e tried that, the error has to be something major that would prevent you from establishing your case such as being charged with the wrong thing something like that. Even then it is probably just going to get amended rather than thrown...
Any chance you can tell those construction workers to come to Texas and do construction work over here? When we start construction it stays that way for atleast two years.....but yea defensive drivkng might be the best way out....
Jason
My opinion...if money isn't the issue take defensive driving....if thats alot of money to you...like me...gotta love college eh.....I'd fight it....go asap and take pictures proving everything you say. Bring some one with you and let them stand in on the pictures so that they can verify the...
