Isn't the term for a mistake that will void a ticket called a fatal flaw. I think ive heard that somewhere. Maybe on here....but if I remeber it right a fatal flaw is a mistake that would prevent you from defending yourself against the charge. Such as seniorjudge said a missing statute number...- ksigatmsu7f02

What is the name of your state? Texas I have a question. It doesn't relate to a ticket since I haven't received one for this. I just wanted to know if this is legal. In Mauriceville, TX when you enter in to town from the north the speed limit steps down from 70 to 65 to 55 then down to 50...- ksigatmsu7f02

Yes, I agree. I think this might be one of those cases where you will basically get convicted before you ever get to court and the judge will basically not care what you have to say. Thats what I have seen from my experience but I have never actually gotten a ticket for that high of a speed...- ksigatmsu7f02

85/50 in VA (Reckless) - advice please!
Whats bad....in Southwest Louisiana, you can get off with less for a DUI. I can't imagine if the two states I regularlly drive in took speeding that serious. I'd know what the inside of a prison was like for sure. And yes bad things always happen on the one time you try to do something...- ksigatmsu7f02

Cop kept my insurance
I was unaware that the ticket for not having a license on you will get dismissed....I knew the insurance one will. You must live near me in Texas....power outtages everywhere....mine was off for almost 24 hours....It seems like if you go to court and explain the situation the ticket will be...- ksigatmsu7f02

It definatly will never hurt to consult a lawyer and could hurt not too. So either way I think you should. I never have dealt with Virginia so I don't know the seriouness they will take it but I knwo 35 over is almost always very serious. I have had tickets for 85 but never in lower than a 70...- ksigatmsu7f02

Illegal Left Turn
I have had similiar charges reduced to seatbelt violation. I guess it depends on the DA or ADA's mood that morning....and that was in Louisiana....I don't know the extent it can be reduced in your state. Good Luck though.- ksigatmsu7f02

Isn't it true that the person who is merging into another lane, as it seems in this case this driver was, never has the right of way? Which would mean this driver was initially in the wrong. Speeding Ticket
The day being Thursday isn't going to get it thrown out. Iv'e tried that, the error has to be something major that would prevent you from establishing your case such as being charged with the wrong thing something like that. Even then it is probably just going to get amended rather than thrown...- ksigatmsu7f02
