and I'm guessing you'd like to provide a few 'DETAILS' so that you can receive a relevant answer?

Like:

Is there a support order in place?
Is there a father?
When was the last contact?
What the hell are you talking about?
Who's buried in Grant's tomb?

I don't think you were poetic enough BB :D

Well, those details would be helpful as there are things one may not realize do constitute "contact" (such as paying support) which would preclude a finding of abandonment.

To poem is to feel
very spiriphysically*.
Senses' essence
does not betray
its deepest sound:
laughterlight.

To poem is to become
an exposed bundle
of nerve cells,
like
spiderweb: powerful
and powerfully fragile,
entraping and trapped.

To poem is to tiptoe
over thin and thick skin
,
sink within through pores,
soak in sweat and tune
in line with heartbeat's
fine tempo: ego countering ego.

To poem is to stream
into dream of reality,
seam edges, weave
crops of cream into
shapeful patterns
of cotton truth to wear.

Poem attributed to K.Q from poetry archives.
Poster... you are an exposed bundle of nerves.. you need to shed your thin skin and get some thick skin.. I dream of a reality where truth does not hurt.

How the bleep are we to help you with your dilemma without pertinent facts, now if you get back here...post some of the answers to Breezy's question...
There are some answers...

(speaking of answers... am I a darn good googler or what! :p )

Is there a support order in place? Yes- joint with mother (me) having primary
Is there a father? Unfortunately...
When was the last contact? Christmas of 04, before that was cs payment May 04, time before that was March 03
We have the order for the whole thing- divorce, custody and support- in GA. He rarely if ever comes and the cs payment made in 04 was the first one since Oct 02. The only other "contact" was with the cs payment in May when he requested visitation in July, then never showed up.
Any other questions? Ask nice- I don't know what all is needed.
Are there no "standards" for all over, or is it different from state to state? How do I find out more about my states laws?

Its different from state to state. In my state if the parent makes even ONE child support payment in the past year, then abandonment can't be used. Your state government website is the place to start your research.
