If so, the age of SEXUAL consent in North Carolina is 16.... so as long as he/she is 16 or older... yes.

Unless you are saying the the U.S. Supreme Court is wrong.
And that has nothing to do with THIS post.Wolflmg said:But they can tell her she can't see the 20 year old guy. They may not be able to do anything legal to him.

Lets see... this is a LEGAL website.... where people ask for LEGAL advice.... right??Wolflmg said:But they can tell her she can't see the 20 year old guy. They may not be able to do anything legal to him.

So, what LEGAL value was your post???
No they don't. Please provide a cite to ANY statute or case law giving a parent the LEGAL right to tell a 16 year old to stop doing anything.Wolflmg said:The legal point is the 16 year old's parents have the legal right of stopping their daughter from seeing him
And if she doesn't 'obey' her parents, what is the EXACT criminal code or civil claim EXACTLY can she be 'charged' with??they may not be able to press charges agaisnt him. But she is 16 and they still have legal rights over her until she is 18, hense they can tell her to stay away from him and him to stay away from her.
Help what? If you mean repeating an answer that has ALREADY been given and correctly, then yes, it helped echo the correct advice albeit redundantlylostsoul23 said:This a popular question in many o forums I type in.
