No they don't. Please provide a cite to ANY statute or case law giving a parent the LEGAL right to tell a 16 year old to stop doing anything.
They certainly have the right to ask/demand that she stop seeing him... but that does not make it a law.

I never said it was a law. But parent do have legal rights toward their children until 18 or in some states 21, meaning they are responsible for them and for what they do. So if they don't her being with the 20 year old they can tell her that, if she disobey and goes and sees him. Granted they can't watch her 24/7, but until she 18 they are responsible for her. So for example if they want to get her away from him, they have the right to send her away to another state or move far away from him.

See, there is your ignorance again. There is NO state that holds a parent liable for a minors action after the age of 18. And LIABILITY has nothing to do with this question.

See wrong again.... The parents have a legal obligation to 'maintain' (feed, house, etc.) a minor... and can even be responsible for their conduct and actions, but there is NO law that prohibits a mature individuals free-will thoughts or actions.

Granted, there are several possible actions that the parents can consider... but your post that "As long as their is no sexual contact and mom/dad are okay with it." is NOT correct.

Nope. The laws are the same... male or female, 16 years of age is the MINIMUM age of consent in North Carolina.
