What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI
My neighbor has 2 small dogs and they never have them on a leash. They let them out the front door to use the bathroom and generally let them run free around the neighborhood. The problem I have is that the dogs mess constantly in my yard, pee on my house, and I do not get my mail at least once a week because the mail person will not deliver while they are out.
I talked to the post office and they do not report the dogs to the dog catcher, they only keep a log why they did not deliver. The dog catcher is lazy and does not come when the dogs are out, and the owner blames it on the kids but that is BS because they are not little anymore and they are old enough to know better.
So do I have any options to get them to keep them in their fenced yard? I am just sick of this, they are just lazy and do not want to clean up after them. These dogs crap on the side walks and drive way in addition to front yards which is disgusting. My house smells like urine when you walk in because the dog pees all over it.
