Exactly! Which is why I said he's confusing the two parties. Because it's the landlord that provides the lease, not the property management.
Ok, I think that we need some clarification here.
There are two kinds of management companies. There is a management company that overseas a condo building. The operate very much like an HOA board and therefore they can often overrule a individual condo owner who is acting as a landlord, depending on the CC&Rs for the condo building.
Then there is another kind of management company that the landlord hires to manage the condo/home on his behalf. That kind of management company cannot overrule the landlord if the landlord is insistent upon wanting something to happen.
My original response was based on the second kind of management company. If its the first kind of management company then the second part of my response is less useful.
