What is the name of your state? Illinois
I have 5 felonies on my adult record, but alot has changed since then. I've always had a passion for law, although usually I was on the other side of it. I just want to know if it's even possible for me to become a lawyer. The felonies are: 4 counts of burglary to an auto vehicle and 1 count of aggravated battery. the first 4 I was 17 and the last 1 I was 20. I'm 23 now.

My response:

I'm sorry. You need one more felony under your belt before you can go to law school.

Try bank robbery. That's always a good one.

IAAL...your an arrogant jerk!

I post a serious reply and once again you get sarcastic and rude. Do me a favor and don't bother replying to anymore of my posts. You must think that because your a lawyer your greatest thing walking the face of the planet. NEWS FLASH: Get over yourself!

Thank you to everyone else that gave me real advice. It's greatly appreciated more than you know. This is something that i'm very serious about. Im making alot of positive changes in my life and being an attourney is a boyhood dream of mine that i'm going to pursue it at all possible.

AC,
Do you have an undergraduate degree (or are you currently pursuing one)? I believe you must have this, among other things (other than felonies), prior to being accepted to law school.

I also believe we spell it without the "u" in the US.

**A: first you need a high school degree, then some college and maybe even a college degree. Then you have to apply and get accepted to an ABA accredited law school.
In the remote chance you complete these requirements, you must then earn a JD degree.
If by some miracle you do, you then must apply to Ithe llinois State Bar. Part of the application requirements state that "applicants previously convicted of a felony.... must receive approval from the character and fitness committee".
You must complete a Character and Fitness Registration Application and explain your criminal and civil history.
Burglary, aggravated battery, felony convictions and a civil lawsuit stemming from a bar fight where your friend was on LSD do not sound like an "officer of the law or clerk of the court" traits.
Should you keep dreaming?

Once you complete all outlined by...

...Home Guru above you are then elegible to become a lawyer and commit felony after felony with impunity.

And you're an idiot for ever thinking you could become an attorney. Those felonies will follow you for the rest of your life.

The only way you'll be representing someone is if you represent yourself as a defendant. That's the only time you'll see the inside of a courtroom.

How are you with a shovel? There's a ditch somewhere that needs digging.

IAMALWAYS LIABLE....you've realy got class old man!

im actualy not that bad with a shovel IAAL...you see the problem is I was always getting into trouble beating people like you i.e-arrogant,ignorant,rude,classless,etc- but its a different day now. Im trying to do things in a more positive way. I want to help people that can't afford attourneys such as yourself. Maybe because of my past i'll never get to become an attourney, but I promise you this...i'll be happy at whatever I do, and I won't need to go to messageboards and shoot peoples dreams and aspirations down to fuel my own ego.(as you do) I just might dig ditches for a living, you never know, but i'll be content. How bout you? . :D

My response:

Now, that's a typical response from someone that's completely worthless.

Five felonies - - and I'm the "jag off" (whatever the hell that means)? And yes, I'm better than you. I'll always be better than you. People like you shouldn't live in decent society. Who wants you around - - your other felony friends? Isn't there a crack pipe around for you to SUCK ON?

Pal, you're a waste of DNA. Your mother (if you even had a mother) must be so proud of you!

Hey, my garden needs tilling. Bring your shovel so I can pay you the highest hourly wage you'll ever get as a felon - - $5.50 per hour.

My further response:

I was just rereading your question.

How could you even be so stupid to ask such a question in the first place?

It appears that by merely asking the question, you have no brain.

So, if you have no brain, how then could you even hope to get into law school?

You're real funny.
