What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Rhode Island
A little bit about myself. I married who I thought was a wonderful woman a little over two years ago and she came with two children. We had one together. All girls.
I met her during a month long trip to the Greek Islands and one thing led to another...brought them to the US on a Fiancée visa, got married, etc. i made good money until she came into my life. i was always expected to clean and cook when i get back home from a demanding job. We argued about this and she is lazy...she is educated (has an MBA) and speaks English with a British accent but refuses to get a job. We argued and argued.
On November 6th 2012, I left work early to find out why my wife wasn't answering the phone. I arrive home to see that no one is here, her clothes and suitcases gone and a simple post it note on the bathroom door saying she left back home and I can "keep" the children I always complain about (more on this later). She left the kids with our upstairs neighbor. She also cleaned out our checking account...
Her kids are rotten..they destroy everything they touch, steal food, toys, whatever they can get their hands on so, yes, I complained and hated having my closest friends say that these little brats are not welcomed in their home. And my wife and I have argued constantly about this. My 3 year old is fine but I can't take care of the kids...
The Safe Haven Laws state that only infants can be given to emergency personnel. And CPS is delaying in getting back to me (it's been a month already!!!). My family will not take these kids and I have never been in contact with hers. I've been bumming off these kids with the neighbors but I have since used up all I can. It is causing strive with me at work because I am never in on time and I can't concentrate knowing that I will have to head home eventually and take care of these three.
With the wife gone, I see no reason to hang on to the old life.
My questions: how do I put these kids up for adoption? First two kids are still on green cards but with the wife abandoning them, I am not sure what to do.
I signed the I-864 form for financial responsibility for the children and the wife up until they are US citizens. How does this affect me when I give them up for adoption?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
