Recently a Memo was posted by a plant manager banning smokeless tobacco
from the plant property. Yet, smokers are allowed to use their vehicles
and a smoking break room is provided for breaks and lunch for them.
Should tobacco in all forms be banned? Is this discrimination against
people who use smokeless tobacco?

Are there any discrimination law's against this policy? Can a
discrimination complaint be filed?

Could a referral be provided on what direction to proceed?

1. filthy habit. spit, dribble, lip cancer, etc.

2. there are no laws in Penn. on your side.

3. there are "tobacco discrimination" laws in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

4. talk to your union representative. see if they laugh in your face, or if they want to fight for your right to dribble, spit, get lip cancer, etc.

If there is one thing I can't stand, it's someone who answers a question with an opinion which was not asked for. There was no mention of me using tobacco, so naturally it must have benn ASSUMED that I was. Wrong! Read the post again. Should all form's of tobacco be banned from the work place and property. It is evident that this is a clear case of discriminating against smokeless tobacco users while giving that right of letting smokers use theirs.
