I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. THE APARTMENT I WAS RENTING ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS, THE ORIGIONAL OWNER AND I HAD NO WRITTEN CONTRACTS, BUT WE DID HAVE A VERBAL CONTRACT, AND I DO HAVE RENT RECIEPTS. WHILE I WAS GONE FOR 4 DAYS, THE NEW OWNER TOOK OVER, ( I HAVE PREVIOUSLY MET THE NEW OWNER, AND THEY KNEW THAT I LIVED THEIR, AND I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT MY CURRENT RENTAL SITUATION WOULD CONTINUE EVEN AFTER THE EXCHANGE OF OWNERS), DUE TO A PREVIOUSE INCIDENT WHERE MY APARTMENT HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO, I LEFT A FRIEND TO WATCH OVER MY APARTMENT. WHILE I WAS GONE, THE NEW OWNER APPARENTLY CAME TO THE APARTMENT WITH BATS, AND FORCED MY FRIEND OUT OF THE APARTMENT, THREW ALL MY BELONGINGS OUT, AND CHANGED THE LOCKS. UPON ARRIVNG HOME, I LEARNED THAT NOT ONLY DID ALL THIS HAPPEN IN THE 4 DAYS I WAS AWAY, BUT MY APARTMENT HAD ALREADY BEEN RENTED OUT, AND ALL OF MY PERSONAL ITEMS AND BELONGINGS HAD BEEN THROWN AWAY. I WANT TO KNOW HOW AND WHAT I AM SUPPOSE TO DO? THE OLD OWNER AND MANY OF MY NEIGHBORS WITNESSED IT, AND ARE ON MY SIDE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE E-MAILME BACK WITH THE NAME OF THE COURT PAPERS TO FILE OR SOMETHING?
