Your solution is obvious. Besides either laying off the mind-altering substances and staying where you are currently living, you could *gasp* MOVE OUT.

And when you MOVE OUT, be a little more discriminating about who you move in with. Better yet, live alone.

And no offense, but your pot and shroom habits probably aren't enough to draw the attention of several undercover officers, unless you are selling or using an insane amount. Yet another reason to drop the illegal stuff.

Well, moving out sounds easy, but I'm on a lease for 6 months, and since I'm essentially living under the law, that wouldn't work. I'm certain that everyone who lives in the house, as well as the owner (Who doesn't live there), are working with/for the police. The idea of living alone is a no-brainer, but I can't afford to live alone at the moment. I'm going to stick it out (legally, of course) but I still question the ethics of these people if they are indeed watching me when I'm not being a threat.

I don't take offense to your skepticism. It sounds ridiculous and I probably wouldn't have believed if it myself if someone told me the same story. The key here is knowing the person who set this up. She thought I was moving out solely to break the law. She set up a trap. It's like a game to her.

Not to be funny or scare you in any way but........if you are sure these noises are real and you still hear them when sober maybe you should see a doctor and ask to be tested for schizophrenia, if only to rule it out....There is no way any police agency would go to the lengths of renting an apartment, posting an ad and such to catch only a user. There are many other ways they go about catching buyers that are inexpensive and the above is not one of them! I speak from experience since I briefly worked with the F.B.I. to catch buyers and sellers alike and even for the feds.... they do not often do something of that magnitude to even catch the biggest sellers...let alone a local police force doing it that way!

Hah, trust me, schizophrenia is not the case. I'm fortunate enough to have health insurance; I know that my mental health is fine. It's just simply very easy to hear footsteps and any other noise on the floor above me. I am very sensitive to sounds, and easily distracted by them... at work, the grocery store, anywhere. The owner never posted an ad... I was called by him a day after I posted my ad for a new room/home. Same difference, but I'm just clarifying. Also, this isn't some brand-spanking new house. It's been occupied for a while. It's in no way expensive for them if I move in. I am paying to live there.

This could very well be unwarranted. I have an 8-5 job and night classes twice a week, so I'm not going to be home a lot of the time. It's not as if watching me would take up too much time.

An old friend's father works for the FBI... I'm going to talk to him and see what he has to say about the situation.

Great you have medical insurance, use it! Go to the doctor and tell them what happened after you took the drugs.

Paranoid you be.

Frankly, kookaburra, your solution is ridiculously simple. Quit using illegal substances. The voices in your head will stop, the voices from your ceiling will stop, and the funky ads on your tv will stop.

How do you KNOW your mental health is fine? Doctors don't just test for it.You have to give them reasons to. I say use your insurance and just find out to be safe. There are many degrees of schzophrenia and some cases are only very slight. Hallucinogens cause brain damage and the damage CAN mimic schizophrenia.Hallucinogens can change your brain chemistry and cause many problems. To name only a few - permanent audio and visual hallucinations & seizures!! It does not hurt to check into it and would only benefit your well being.

As for the expenses..... these roomates of yours are LIVING with you! If they were police officers that would mean they would have to be paid for every minute they are in the house not just when you are present!! Renting or owning a house (no matter what shape the house is in) costs money even if you pay them rent!!!!That is still too much money and man power to catch a mere user!! All they would have to do to catch you is have your ex-roomate either smoke or use with you or get her to buy and or sell to/from you. It would take very little effort time and money on their part to do it that way!! This IS the method most commonly used to bust drug users, buyers and sellers alike!!!

I believe it would be a very good idea to speak with the friend's father who is an F.B.I agent.........he could set you straight and put your mind at ease..........I am sure he will tell you exactly what everyone else here is telling you!!!! .......Lay off the DRUGS and seek medical attention!!!!!!

OP, you should DEFINITELY seek the advice of your friend's father FBI, and your DOCTOR!!! If what you say is true, what better way to prove your point than to show a "clean bill of health"????

You know what flashbacks are right? Just because you are not presently on 'shrooms doesn't mean you won't experience some after effects.

I am... a squirrel.
You are... not.
You are... human.
How... pathetic you are.
I have... a fluffy tail.
I have... squirrely wrath.

And that's all I can quote without falling afoul of foul language patrols. But Foamy Rules! I don't even need 'shrooms to hear him talk to me. :D
