What is the name of your state? Maryland

My husband was on probation and in November 2004 his agent told him that his probation was being closed. In February 2005 he was arrested for purchasing marijuana. He had two bags of it on him. He was released on his own recognition. In March he received a letter from his PO officer stating that he failed to appear for his visits and he also failed to report the arrest. He was told to pay a $100 fine. He payed the fine but was told in October that there was a warrant out for his arrest. He turned himself in on Nov. 1 and he's still there because we don't have the money to bail him out. His bail was $50,000. He goes to court on Dec.1. What are the chances of him being released? Is it possible to make some sort of bargain such as extended probation or house arrest?

Drug charge

what was his original conviction about? Does he have more than one conviction on his record?

His original conviction was a drug charge. Distribution but that was over three years ago. He hasn't got in any trouble since, besides this.

This is hilarious! Once a criminal, always a criminal!

Also, their wives are just as dumb, especially when they use incorrect phrases like, ". . . on his own recognition." That's a doozy!

Actually, I am not dumb. I just don't know much about legal terms as you do. I do beleive in second chances. Criminals can turn there lives around and my husband has never hurt anyone. He did, however, make a stupid mistake. I'd appreciate if you could keep negative comments to yourself. I hope you have a good day.
