Some have it, some don't

LOL -
I am sorry but this is a good repeat. I was looking for answers and found this!

"Maturity is the ability to control our impulses, to think beyond the moment, and consider how our words and our actions will affect ourselves and others before we act."

Hey Stealth here is another option....you could just quit answering the same questions over and over, just a thought :)
My sentiments exactly. You aren't forced to read these posts or answer. Newbies to the boards won't even know how to read this post, let alone find the note posted as what to do.

however there is a search function that everyone seems to overlook, when they could easily find the answer to their question themselves

since we are doing a wish list for posts

include all info relating to current orders
don't over use pronouns, when you are talking about a woman who has children by multiple men the use of "he" is worthless.

That search function couldn't be found on my screen for about 2 weeks. I had no idea it was there. Maybe they should make it blink or something.

I apologize in advance for also posting on an old thread, but I didn't see anyone else say anything about punctuation.

PLEASE, when posting, try to use complete sentences or at least put some paragraphs, periods, etc. in there so we don't have to read through pages of gibbrish trying to figure out what the question is!! :D

Disclaimer: I am NOT picking a debate...but wanted to address something said on this thread back in 2004.

I think it IS wise to contact law enforcement when being denied visitation/parenting time etc. Although it's true they will seldom intervene...they will make a report if you request it, which can be used as evidence if/when filing in court against the other parent for contempt.

Absolutely, I agree. I had tons of police reports for denial of visitation, ALL of qhich were admitted into evidence.

However

If the CP lives in one state, NCP lives in another state and the drop off point is a state different from the two where the CP and NCP live, who would you call?

The local police in the state where you're to drop off at, as that is where the violation occured.

The reason I asked that is because my ex has denied me visitation thorugh email. So, how do you deal with that?

Denying you visitation before the visitation is supposed to occur is not an actionable offense. You can't file for something that "may" happen. Only after the denial has actually occured (and that means even if you get an e-mail from him saying he won't let you have the child, you need to go to the dropoff point anyways and file a police report if he dosn't show) can a motion to find him in contempt be filed.

The e-mail can possibly be used in conjunction with the police report to show that not only DID he actually deny, but he premeditated the denial as well and had no intention of following the order.

But again, it would have to be AFTER the denial took place, not before.
