He's already gone through all that -- hired a lawyer in the other state (AZ), went to court, got his sentence, did his time, went to the class, etc. Now he is just waiting for the other shoe to drop here in NJ. The AZ lawyer could/would not tell him anything about what will happen on this end, and he has put off hiring a lawyer in NJ until he actually hears from NJ State or DMV. I was just curious about ARD, I see it mentioned a lot but have never heard of it. I don't think it was offered to him in AZ; his lawyer told him he was getting the minimum since he had a clean record and his BAC was only .12. He also still does not know if he'll be required to install an alcohol detection device on his cars. I've lived in NJ forever and never seen anyone have one yet.
