What is the name of your state?Queensland
I was just wondering if someone can tell me how the government say that a person has to pay child support.?
I read somewhere that it is work out on if the parents where still together, what would the benerfits of the extra income have on the childs life? That is fine, but what if in ( as my in case) the mother says that I raped her and we never had a relationship. Y should I pay child support???

PLEASE HELP MEEEE.....

My response:

You know, I was wondering the same thing, too. I was also wondering why people from Australia have a difficult time reading the English language. You see, it says very plainly at the top of each page of this site, "- US Law Only -" and, at the beginning of your post, it even asks you for your "State name".

I wonder why that is?

Which would you prefer mate, Child support or Jail time?

Whether you had a relationship with her or not, if the child is yours (DNA proof), you have to pay child support if the child does not live with you.

My question is, did you rape her????
Your biggest concern should be going to jail for rape!!!!

Countries that don't have a CS system have tens of thousands of kids left to rot, unloved and unwanted, in a system of orphanages. They then age out at about 16 - and get kicked out onto the streets with no family, little education, and no options. That's why there is CS.

Child support is the NCP financial obligation to not only the CP but to the child as well.

IF you and she had been together and were sharing equally in time and finances for the child, that'd be different. - as is in my case, I get no CS from my ex husband for my son, we split all 50:50

But, if you raped her, as you so freely admit - you ought to shut the hell up about the CS and pay it, before you get into trouble for raping the woman!

DUH!!!

Even though I don't agree with the OP's stand on CS issues, I don't think he was admitting to raping the girl. I think he was saying he was being accused. Lots of guys are wrongfully accused of rape.

I have already been to court for the "RAPE..." and found not guilty. My problem is why should I pay 15-20000 dollars to someone who won't work????

Because it's not your child's fault that their mother is lazy.

The bigger picture is SHE is supporting the child he created. Has nothing to do with laziness if the child is a baby.

LC are you really standing up for a woman who stays at home with her child? :)

No.

She is supporting the child they BOTH created. Last I looked, a man couldn't create a child by themselves anymore than a woman can.

It's the responsibility of both parents to support the child. If mom isn't working, she's not supporting anyone. If he's not paying CS, he's not either.

I'm not biased. I'm an equal opportunity bitch.

How is a woman being a stay at home mom not supporting her kids. Not all of us stay at home moms are lazy living off welfare.
I support my children. I raise them myself instead of paying a babysitter $600 a month to do it for me. My income is calculated as min wage for the child support worksheet. That's not less than I would be making if I did have a job. I have no college degree so it's not likely that I would make more than min wage. So trust me, my ex needs to be thankful that I don't work. His cs is based on my working and he doesn't have to pay half of daycare. I save him hella money.
Sometimes it's in the best interest of the NCP for the CP to be a stay at home parent.
