Can I use a will to grant legal guardianship of my minor son to someone other than his biological father?

Do you have other facts to provide that might clarify your question beyond the legal answer already give you re wills and the type of guardianship that may be granted in that manner?

That doesn't help it be less confusing though. It always irritated the hell out of me that the dog didn't sit, and the disembodied voice says "Good Dog". Really, I'm not a control freak...

Yes, thank you. I know I am going to die. I want to settle my affairs and ensure that my son continues to be cared for by those who love and want him. I wondered if there is a legal way to do that? A poster named casa mentioned terminating the father's parental rights and having my son adopted. Is that the only option?

Are you married?
Is your husband willing to adopt?
Is father willing to terminate his rights voluntarily?
Does he pay support?
Does he visit with child?
