Please help I am very confused

The fact that you turned yourself in might result in a more favorable plea bargain or sentence than you otherwise would have gotten, so your honesty might benefit you.

    parole violation

Hartmann is wrong. In CA, parole is a separate 3-year term served after the entire sentence on the conviction is served. The maximum parole violation term is 1 year, but for being under the influence he might just a 90-day "dry-out." Chino is not a particularly bad prison.

    Filing a motion for discovery

If you don't even know how to file a discovery motion, why do you think you can represent yourself? Talking to the prosecutor is a very bad idea because he will take advantage of you because you are unrepresented. If law is so "easy," then figure it out yourself.

    Should appeal sentence?

Two years house arrest does sound kind of harsh for a dirty drug test. It couldn't hurt to appeal the disposition.

You still don't get it. What kind of website? How to learn the law in 10 easy lessons? Lawyering for dummies?

can someone be their own lawyer in a criminial matter

I agree. Representing yourself is a horrible idea and increases your chances of getting convicted. Invariably the defendant makes a fool of himself in front of the jury, by making objections that have no basis, and asking questions that can't be asked. Would you fix your own car if you were...

Here's a good one- it has to do with arrests

What state? In CA, that would probably qualify as a terrorist threat.

    probation

The law on this issue is not settled. Coincidentally I just made an argument in a case that a probation search is not permitted when the probationer is not being supervised by probation in the community but by jail authorities in jail because probation searches must, by law, be related to the...

What will happen if I allow my kids in a home where pot is grown?

Lose custody and go to jail? Nonsense. Is the marijuana being grown in the open where the kids can see it? If not, then you have nothing to worry about for sure, and even if yes, how does standing next to a marijuana plant endanger a child?

    judge violates plea aggreament

Normally if you pled guilty in exchange for a a specified sentence, a judge must let you withdraw the plea if the judge does not give you that specified sentence. A plea bargain is a contractual agreement, and the state is not relieved of its end of the bargain simply by you being late...

I was caught trying to steal and I need a little advice...

Calling your employer and begging could get you witness tampering charges. Many states have first-time offender shoplifting programs that allow you to avoid a conviction and a criminal record. Some money spent on a lawyer now could save you a lot of trouble down the line.

Did your wife consent to a search? If so, then the search was legal.

    MJ Grower with kids

50 plants is a major growing operation, not for personal use. Their kids will get taken from them if they get caught by CPS. Major growers do not get diversion.
